“Embedded connectivity is finding its way into more consumer electronics. The ubiquity of cellular coverage makes it a strong candidate for inclusion in the manufacturing of portable devices. But can remote data be monetised sufficiently to cover more than just the cost of transporting it. Thereby making connectivity integral to the value proposition of the device and not just an optional value-add?”
