Areas of expertise: Future voice and data pricing strategies, Yield management, Customer economics and profitability, Profitable smartphone strategies for operators, LTE launch strategies, Wi-Fi business models

“As the Internet moves the global telecoms and media sectors further along the path of convergence, what was once seen as a threat or competitive challenge in the past is now, more than ever, evolving into an opportunity for partnership. Companies that have previously competed vigorously are now seeing the importance of working towards a common goal, rendering the traditional linear (buyer/supplier) value-chain increasingly obsolete. Our goal is to understand the challenges and opportunities underpinning this transition and to identify how value can be created.”

Thomas Wehmeier is a Principal Analyst within Informa Telecoms & Media and is a member of the Industry Research management team.
